Fresh Word – New Day – April 12, 2026 – Evangelist Pastor Barbara

Walk in newness of life today and every day. No two days are ever alike. My promises are new every day. Constant New Beginnings. Why would you want to take yesterday, with all its troubles, into a brand-new day? Yesterday is gone, never to be remembered ever again.

There are so many new “constants.” Throw the old away, and experience new Joy, Love, and understanding in your Father.

Take hold of today and all that it has in it. Throw away the bad, and keep the pure. Dance, rejoice, and enjoy this new day.

Lamentations 3:22-23

God’s mercies are renewed each day, offering fresh compassion and hope, demonstrating His unwavering faithfulness.

The phrase “His mercies are new every morning” comes from Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV, which states: “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”. The prophet Jeremiah wrote Lamentations during a time of profound grief, after Jerusalem fell to Babylon around 586 BC. The book expresses both sorrow over the nation’s sin and hope in God’s enduring compassion. Despite the devastation, Jeremiah emphasizes that God’s mercy and faithfulness remain constant, offering reassurance even in the darkest circumstances.

Meaning of “New Every Morning”

The phrase signifies that God’s mercy is continually renewed and never exhausted. Each day brings a fresh opportunity to experience His compassion, forgiveness, and grace. This renewal is not limited by past failures or sins; believers can access God’s mercy daily, as it is perpetual and abundant. The dawn of each day symbolizes a new beginning, where gloom and despair are met with God’s light and hope.
