“From Challenge to Change: What 2020 Taught Me”

2020 held a great deal of challenge, there is no question about that. However, if we look deeper, it was also plentiful in opportunities to learn spiritual lessons – lessons that if embraced will undoubtedly produce godly and lasting fruit.

Romans 8:18 says, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

While we cannot always change circumstances or avoid sufferings, we can change how we respond to them. We can choose to act according to the Word of God rather than react to the challenges. The bigger the challenge, the bigger the opportunity for growth. 2020 held a plethora of opportunity for growth.

Recently I reflected on what 2020 taught me…

Challenges are funny things; they can make you or break you. We can be assured God doesn’t allow them to come our way to destroy us. Quite the contrary. The truth is, challenging times can make us better or bitter – the choice is up to us.

What Is Happening?

“I am looking for willing vessels in this hour to assist Me, the Lord, in accomplishing the fulfillment of every promise I have given. Do you wonder what is happening with the leadership in America? I have a plan and My plan still stands.

“You have heard many words: Marxist, Communist Agenda, and Socialism. The vaccines are not the Savior! I say I will shatter these agendas like clay pots. I will expose the hidden sins of the godless and those who intentionally work against My name from the anti-Christ spirit!

“What is happening?” you ask. The battle between good and evil.

“What is happening?” you ask. A power struggle for America.

Many Want Answers

“I know many want answers about what will happen. I am the Lord God, Almighty, and I am not blind. I can see perfectly the feeble attempts to bring this nation under siege. This nation will be made an example of. This nation, one nation – under God – will be redeemed.

“Many say, ‘Well, for the one world government to take place this had to happen,’ or ‘for the one-world order to come to pass all this needed to occur.’ Listen to the voice of the Lord GOD almighty. I do not waver in My plans. I am just and will bring justice. I am looking for a certain response from My people.

“I want pure hearts and clean hands. I want repentance and true service.

I Will Do My Part

“Let your allegiance be to My cause. The Kingdom of Heaven is advancing and the righteous shall take it by force. The plan of the dark side is to empower an evil leader. Why do they want an evil leader? Because the anti-Christ spirit wants to fulfill the plan of satan. He has always thought his plan would work, in spite of the fact that his plans never work out in the end.

The Lord’s Pronouncement Is Sure

I just received a word from a leader and prophetic intercessor in Texas, Chip Payne, who was awakened two days ago hearing the words “Micah 2—go read Micah 2.” He felt the Lord wanted His people to know His intention toward those who were “practicing rebellion and ardently working against the Lord—and knew it.”

This was not directed toward those who are caught in the middle or unknowingly siding with evil, but those who have deliberately set their hearts against the Lord.

“Woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds! At morning’s light they carry it out because it is in their power to do it. They covet fields and seize them, and houses, and take them. They defraud people of their homes; they rob them of their inheritance. Therefore, the Lord says: “I am planning disaster against this people, from which you cannot save yourselves. You will no longer walk proudly, for it will be a time of calamity” (Mic. 2: 1-3, NIV).

Chip says, “When the Lord brought this passage to attention, it was in the context of His pronouncement against those who are in active rebellion against Him, willfully partnering with this spirit in order to obtain power and control. The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and rich in mercy, but He also is for losing the bonds of injustice and removing the straps of the oppressor (see Isa. 58). This word was not only a declaration from the court of the Lord that this is a settled matter; it was also from the heart of encouragement to His bride that He is aware; He has heard; and He is responding.

Last week as my husband and I were preaching on having joy during our trials, my husband spoke the following verse: “And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou [art] my people.” (Isa 51:16 KJV)

Holy Spirit showed me the hand of God resting upon someone, covering them. It was the fullness of the brightness of the glory of God that was causing the shadow. As I sought the Lord, He began to speak to me things that I sense many need to hear during this season.

You are feeling the weight of His glory!

I heard the Lord say, “Many perceive they are in darkness and heaviness because they are under My glory; I say, do not rush to leave, the weight of My glory is incubating the new thing that you have been longing for. You are feeling pressure from the growth within. Watch and see the boundaries and limitations of yesterday break off in a moment; at the appointed time, I will release you and you will be contained no longer. Even as the tomb burst open with My Glory, so shall it be when I release you. For I have been doing a mighty work within your spirit even though you cannot see it.

I have created the conditions from which My words sown as seed within your heart will come forth as My life within you, and that life cannot be stopped. Even as you have seen life sprout forth from a spring rain on seemingly barren ground, My word within you is being watered even with your tears of frustration and sorrow. For I am forming a strong structure within you that can carry the weight of My glory.

Rise Up!

For in this hour, My children need to RISE UP [and] STAND FIRM in Whom they have believed; for deliverance is coming, help is arising, and I, the Lord, your God, am leading you in this battle in the political arena – in the judicial.

“And,” says the Spirit of the Lord this day, “as it was in the book of Esther, so shall it be, so shall you see the same come forth before your very eyes. For there are those I have chosen in this hour, in the political arena, in the judicial arena, in the prophetic; lawyers with a calling, and those over the airwaves…men and women in this hour I have chosen to rise up and speak truth, and lead My people through this very narrow way, a path, being carved in order to snatch the country back from the grasp of the serpent, from the grasp of the dragon, from the grasp of Baal, from principalities and rulers of darkness in high places,” says the Lord of Hosts.
