Fresh Word – March 12, 2026 – Remnant Ones – Evangelist Pastor Barbara

Let’s begin at the beginning. This is the beginning of a brand-new era for the Body of Christ. The naysayers have made their beds and are happy in them. The Remnant [forerunner] churches have to decide whether they are going to stay the Remnant or go a different route, like the naysayers. I will not make you do anything. I have spoken, and I have promised. I am not a man who should lie, and my promises are yes and amen.

What constitutes a Remnant church? A remnant [forerunner] church has determined in their heart that they will stay the course of bringing in the harvest of lost souls, no matter the cost. They have decided it is better to die for Christ than to live for sin. They have decided they have more power and authority than the enemy, and they are going to continue on the path I have set before their feet until I bring them home.

The Remnant ones are sold out to Me 100%. There is nothing that can deter them from the path that lies before them. They understand that they are forerunners like John the Baptist and will have to suffer for Christ’s sake, but they are committed to seeing their assignments through to the end.

The Remnant ones are those who have gone through the furnace of affliction over and over again and always come out like pure shining gold. They understand there is no room for error. They understand they are not fighting flesh and blood, but principalities and powers in high places. They also understand that I will never leave them nor forsake them. They are so attuned to My Voice that no other voice will they follow.

John the Baptist was a Remnant one. He knew his assignment was to prepare the way for the coming of Jesus. These Remnant ones know their assignment is to prepare the way for the second coming of Christ.

The Remnant church also knows its assignment is far different from that of the regular church. They know they have a target on their backs, and the enemy is trying to accost them from every angle, but they vowed to stay the course, no matter the cost. They are the image of My Son Jesus. They will not falter nor fall.

Yes, this is the beginning, but so much is going to transpire from the beginning to the end. All the middle must take place, and some of the middle will get messy at times, but the Remnant Ones know how to endure.

The Voice in the Wilderness – John’s Prophetic Calling

📖 Luke 1:13–17 – “But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard… thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John… And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

John’s story began not in a palace, but in prayer. His parents, Zacharias and Elisabeth, were righteous yet barren—until God answered with a son who would become the forerunner of the Messiah. John’s very birth was prophetic, fulfilling Isaiah’s 700-year-old vision:

Isaiah 40:3 – “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

John’s mission was not to exalt himself, but to expose sin, awaken repentance, and announce Christ. While priests and scholars taught tradition, John preached transformation. His garments of camel’s hair and diet of locusts and honey (Matthew 3:4) symbolized separation from worldly comfort and devotion to divine purpose.

The Father called the Lighthouse to be “a second John the Baptist.”  We must stay the course as John did, no matter what the cost.
