Pastor Barbara,

While I was in prayer today, God showed me a way that the enemy is attacking the remnant church.

God has been telling us repeatedly that all of hell is being arrayed against us at this time and that we need to be as close to God as we can be, or we will be taken out.

I was thinking about these things before my prayer time and wondering how the enemy was attacking. I was trying to make sure I had all the doors closed, just checking myself, as we do.

The last thing I remember thinking was, can the enemy attack us through the Godly cords we have attached to those around us that are fighting a particular sin?

Being in the deliverance ministry, I see cords all the time, all different kinds, that do different things. We know there are ungodly cords that demons use as a highway, so to speak, jumping back and forth and gaining entry into a person, so I was wondering if the enemy could also use the Godly cords to attack us if those cords are connected to those we love, in Christ, but are having a problem with a specific sin they are trying to overcome. Could the demons, who are keeping someone in bondage, actually use these Godly cords against us?

It was just a passing thought.

I know that most people have felt an increase in the power of the attacks from the enemy lately, and I was also pondering this, and wondering how the enemy could be attacking so powerfully in areas that I felt had been overcome.

Also, the deeper the level of sin God saved you from, gives the enemy, in his mind, that many more areas to probe and test for weakness.

Those sins that we came out of will be tested by the enemy repeatedly. He will always try to storm the gate of an area that he once controlled in a person’s life, that was surrendered to God, and that we allowed Him to clean us up from.

So, those were the type of things I was thinking about before I went into prayer, I hadn’t even asked God about all of it yet, but I was planning on it.

At some point, during prayer, God gave me the answer, or an answer, to what I had been pondering. He showed me that the enemy is gathering all the energy from a particular sin, collectively from the entire world, and letting it loose all at once on the remnant church.

I saw it like this, pick any sin, lust, anger, or bitterness, and imagine it as a massive thunderstorm system, then picture that system cutting loose, sideways rain, torrential winds, thunder, and lightning, and when he finds someone who has overcome that sin,  through Christ, through deliverance, through repentance, he hurls the full force of that storm’s energy, (that sin ) against the person.

That is what God means by all of hell is being arrayed against us!

There is no way to protect ourselves from this level of fury. Only being surrendered 100%, serving God with all our heart, and seeking His mercy and protection keep us from being completely destroyed.

I still haven’t gotten over the image that was shown to me. I don’t think I ever will.

There is a danger in hearing the same warning over and over again if we are complacent in our walk with God, and that is, we don’t take it seriously.

But just like in a violent thunderstorm, everything can be swept away in an instant; the same can happen to us if we are hit with this spiritual thunderstorm and are not prepared. If we are not at our post with the full armor of light on,

If we have compromised ourselves in any way in our walk with God, if we are taking sin lightly or fence-sitting in any way, we are in danger of being blown off whatever faulty deceptive foundation we think we are standing on.
