1 Kings 18:21 (NKJV)
21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.

While sitting at my computer listening to Larry tell me how bad hurricane Irma is going to be… starting out as a category 5 and ending in a category 4 and then about the tropical storm to follow; I heard the above scripture.

Peoples of God what is it going to take to get the church’s attention? God is calling for the church to fast, repent and turn from our wicked evil ways.

2 Chronicles 7:13-14 (NKJV)
13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

As you look at the pictures where the storm is going… it could touch Florida… and the estimated {5 million} lives it will affect; why are we not on our knees repenting and crying out to a sovereign God?

Instead we are trying to bury our new President, Donald Trump and fighting in the streets for just any reason.

Did you ever stop to think what God is thinking as he watches His people who are called by His name totally ignoring the prayer closets? Totally ignoring the call for repentance?

Why did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah?

Genesis 18:16-21 (NKJV)
16 Then the men rose from there and looked toward Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on the way.
17 And the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing,
18 since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19 For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”
20 And the LORD said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave,
21 I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”

If My people will truly humble themselves and pray I will answer from heaven. If not, I will still answer from heaven. It is entirely up to My people what I do.

I would suggest you continue to read the rest of Genesis 18 and also read Genesis 19.

God has been calling the church to Holiness; but are we reaching for that goal?
