Now is not the time to cry over spilled milk. Now is the time to rise above the beggarly elements of this world, take the bull by the horns, and defeat the enemy on all sides. Come on, Chosen Ones, you can endure a little pain, a little rejection, a little unrest, and an entire world of gross darkness. You say I cannot! Yes, you can! I formed you in your mother’s womb. I know exactly what you are made of. I know how much pressure you can endure and still stay standing. Let’s get off the bandwagon of “woe is me,” and stand like a true warrior, fully dressed in your battle gear, shouting the victory. Remember, you are not of this world. You belong to the Kingdom of Light and love. “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.”

Do you understand that the enemy fears you? He trembles every time you place your feet on the floor in the wee hours of the morning. He understands that a tidal wave of brute strength has arisen, and he hopes you never realize this truth. He is nothing and has nothing. The only thing he has is what you give him. The only thing you should be giving him is the bottom of your shoe as you crush him there. March, Chosen Ones. March to the sound of Heaven and stay on the battlefield, with victory on your tongue.

John 17:14-16, where Jesus prays to the Father about His disciples:
“I have given them your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world” (ESV).

Here, Jesus distinguishes His followers from worldly systems and sinful influences, highlighting that while they live physically in the world, their spiritual allegiance belongs to God. The disciples are to remain in the world to carry out God’s work but are not to conform to its moral corruption.

Spiritual Separation but Active Presence:
Believers are called to live in the world without adopting its values, participating in society while maintaining inner holiness. This aligns with Romans 12:2, which instructs Christians not to be conformed to the pattern of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of their minds.

Protection from Evil: Jesus emphasizes that although believers remain in the world, God protects them from spiritual harm and moral compromise (John 17:15). This reinforces the idea that Christian life involves discernment and reliance on God’s guidance.

Witness and Mission: Being “not of this world” also supports the role of believers as witnesses of Christ’s teachings. Their distinctiveness draws others toward spiritual truths (Matthew 5:13-16, “salt and light”).
