My children, there are rocks, ruts, holes, traps, mountains, side roads, hills, valleys, and other obstacles on the path of life. It was not designed to be easy and smooth. The reason for this is because with these things it helps you gain character and strength. It builds trust, faith, and strengthens your foundation in Me. It is designed to draw you closer to Me and give you more of a relationship with Me.

Many of these things are tests to see how are you going to react, respond, focus, and call upon Me. They are there so that you learn My word and how to apply it to your life so that you can be victorious over these things. I have given you instructions, guidelines and tools on how to overcome and remove these things from in front of you. I have given you all you need. I have given you the assistance that stands by, ready for the assignments to remove the obstacles and help you through that part of the path that you are on to my kingdom. The question is – are you using them?

My Son Jesus had the same things in front of Him. He was tested and tried just as you have been. He had to face many obstacles and many evil things in His time on this earth. I really want you to study what He did. He prayed to Me. He spent quality time with Me. He would do it alone or He would invite some to join Him so that He had support.

Why would He spend time in My presence? He spent much time with Me so He could gain strength from Me and to get to know Me and My plan. He would spend time with Me so that I could speak with Him and warn Him of what was coming ahead and how to take care of it.

My Son was tempted by satan also. He spent time in My presence beforehand so that He could properly and effectively overcome all that would be thrown His way. He came to Me and allowed Me to prepare Him and to receive instruction on what He was about to face.

The main three things that satan tempted My Son with are the same things He continues to bring before man, trying to make My children fall. He tempted My Son to be disobedient and look to physical things to satisfy His hunger. He tempted Him with the food after My Son had fasted for strength to overcome this temptation. He tried to make Him satisfy His flesh instead of getting His strength from Me.

My Son was tempted with gifts, power, and the things of this world. Things full of lies, that would bring on lust and cause idols before Me. This is what satan still tempts man with every day. He tries to take them from My hands and convince them to put other things before Me and make them turn from Me.

My Son Jesus was tempted by being shown what He could do in Me, the authority He had, and that My Son was who He claimed to be. He was tempted to open the door to pride and use His authority for selfish reasons. He used this to try to get My Son to open the door to an area that was to remain closed; so that His destination could be destroyed if it was opened.

These things My Son showed how to deal with. How to respond to the temptations because they are the same things the enemy continues to use to make them disobedient. So many continue to fall by looking at physical things for strength, lust, power, deception. These will open doors to destroy your destiny in Me, and pride will destroy My children quickly if it is not taken care of the moment that it is exposed. Now there is so much more to be learned about what happened during that journey of My Son, but for now this is what I want you to see. This is what I want you to understand.

My Son overcame these things because He did what I told Him to do. He prepared Himself for the test that was coming. He put all this trust and faith in Me that I would see Him through it and give Him the strength he needed.

I want you to understand how important it is to get before My face and get to know Me. It is so important to get before My face and listen to all that I have to say to you. It is so important to allow Me to tell you everything and not pick and choose what you want to hear. It is important that you be obedient to any and all things that I direct you to do.

It is so important to use and know the Holy Spirit as you get before Me, so that your trust becomes even stronger in listening to the Holy Spirit as you continue down the path that I set before you. You need to understand the Holy Spirit is a gift I have given you so that you would constantly have a helper, a guide and a comforter to see you through all the hard times. But if you do not know the Holy Spirit then how are you going to be able to trust and listen to Him?

Understand today that you need to get into My presence and gain strength and learn what I have been trying to show you. It is time to apply and use My word as I have given it to you in all its might and power.

Prayer, soaking, praising, abiding, being consumed, and sitting in My presence. Come and invite the Holy Spirit to share and amplify your experience in My presence and get to know us both in a new and powerful way. Come into My presence and ask My Son to reveal answers to your questions about His journey. Do you not think He would share with you and talk with you? He longs for a relationship with His bride just as I long for a relationship with My children.

Get before Me today and allow Me to show you the depths of the words that I speak to you. Get before Me and allow Me to take you into that secret place in Me and allow Me to birth inside of you a new strength to overcome the temptations and the traps that the enemy sets before you. Come and see how much more wisdom you will have to overcome his evil tricks.

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet He did not sin.” (Hebrews 4:15, NIV)

“Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18)

“You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.” (Exodus 20:3-6)

“I am the Lord, and there is no other; Apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me.” (Isaiah 45:5)

“Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.” (2 John 1:9)

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.” (John 16:13)

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” (John 14:26)

“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry. The tempter came to Him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Then the devil took Him to the holy city and had Him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give You,” he said, “if You will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.” Then the devil left Him, and angels came and attended Him.” (Matthew 4:1-11)
