This Fourth of July, we pause to celebrate 250 years of freedom. It is a day filled with family, friends, cookouts, fireworks, laughter, and thankfulness. It is a day when we remember the sacrifices that were made so we could enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Freedom is never something to take lightly. Many lives were given. Many families sacrificed. Many brave men and women stood for something greater than themselves. Because of that, America has been known as the land of the free and the home of the brave.

But as children of God, we also know there is an even greater freedom than what any nation can give. That freedom is found in Jesus Christ.

The Bible says in John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” Jesus came to set the captives free. He came to break chains, heal broken hearts, restore lives, and bring hope where there has been sorrow. The freedom Christ gives is not just for one day of celebration. It is a freedom that reaches the heart, the mind, the soul, and the spirit.

As we celebrate today, let us also remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us. He gave His life so we could be free from sin, fear, shame, bondage, and every weight that tries to hold us down. Because of Him, we can rejoice even in the middle of the storm. We can dance again. We can hope again. We can believe again. We can live full of faith, joy, and expectation.

Today is a beautiful opportunity to show the love of God to those around us. Whether we are gathered with family, watching fireworks, sharing a meal, praying together, or simply thanking God for His blessings, let us let our light shine. Someone near us may need encouragement. Someone may need a miracle. Someone may need to be reminded that God still saves, heals, delivers, and restores.

As we look at our nation, we can pray for wisdom, peace, unity, and godly direction. We can pray that hearts would turn toward God and that families, communities, and churches would be strengthened. We can be thankful for what this day stands for while also asking the Lord to continue rebuilding lives, homes, and hearts according to His will.

And as we celebrate freedom this July, we invite you to continue that celebration with us at our upcoming revival, Breaking the Giant’s Back. Come expecting deliverance, healing, miracles, and restoration. If there are chains that need to be broken, burdens that need to be lifted, or giants that need to come down, we believe God is ready to move.

Revival begins July 18 through July 28, with services at 7 PM nightly, and Sundays at 11 AM and 7 PM.

This Fourth of July, let us celebrate freedom with grateful hearts. Let us remember the sacrifice. Let us rejoice in the blessings of God. And most of all, let us thank Jesus Christ, the One who makes us truly free.

Happy Fourth of July from The Lighthouse Inc. Church!
