Body of Christ:

I was getting ready to send out a prayer request for Charlie Kirk’s family when this came across my desk from the National Faith Advisory Board. Charlie Kirk was the founder of Turning Point USA. According to Charlie Kirk, Turning Point is a “movement dedicated to identifying, organizing, and empowering young people to promote the principle of free marketing and United Government.”

One statement this morning read, “America is not ready for this.” I wholeheartedly agree with that statement. The enemy does not want the youth to come forward. We must be at our posts covering the young people God is bringing forth. We have a young Vice President, and then we had Charlie Kirk and all he stood for, at the young age of 31.
Church, we need to pray like never before.

Evangelist Pastor Barbara

Dear Barbara,

Charlie Kirk’s boldness inspired a generation, a nation. We are saddened by the assassination of a life marked by leading a national movement with generational impact.

President Trump addressed the nation, saying, “…Charlie was a patriot who devoted his life to the cause of open debate and the country that he loved so much, the United States of America…Charlie was also a man of deep, deep faith, and we take comfort in the knowledge that he is at peace with God in Heaven… we ask God to watch over them (his family)…This is a dark hour for America… The monster that attacked him was attacking our whole country…An assassin tried to silence him with a bullet, but he failed because together we will ensure that his voice, his message, and his legacy will live on for countless generations to come.”

We invite you to join us in praying for Charlie’s wife, Erika, and their two young children.

Genesis 50:20 says, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good, to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Our prayer is that what was meant to harm will be turned around for the good of our nation.

May Charlie’s legacy remind each of us to live bolder, to stand firm, and to walk with courage.
