Evangelist Pastor Barbara
COME TO ME ALL WHO ARE HEAVY LADEN, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. THAT IS MY TRUE, UNADULTERATED WORD FOR THE HOUR. Matthew 11:28-30 NIV 28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Instead of coming to Me when the storms hit, you run around looking for a human to direct your footsteps. Does not My Word tell you {I will direct your footsteps? } Then why do you run to and fro when all you have to do is bow your head in humble submission to Me and allow My Glory to fall upon you and give you the peace of mind and rest you so desperately need?
Come up hither, children, sit at My feet, receive your instructions for the day, and then move on in My wisdom and stature, setting the captives free.
There is a place on the streets that few find. My people are hurting, and no one takes the time to reach out to them. What about the prisons, the workplaces, the rehab centers, the ballfields? The streets, in general, are overrun with the lost and dying, and no one desires to feed them.
You are fat and comfortable, but you do not rescue the lost and dying. What is the problem, asks the Lord? Why are you not tending the flock of Jethro? Why are you hoarding My anointing to yourselves? Shout My Glory from the mountaintops and watch the multitudes flock to Mount Zion.
The significance of Mount Zion includes:
Representing “the Kingdom of God” in Revelation 21 and looking ahead to the New Jerusalem.
Being the place where Yahweh, the God of Israel, dwells and where he is king.
Serving as the seat of Yahweh’s actions in history.
Being associated with the City of David and the location of Christ’s rule on earth.
Having spiritual and eternal significance.
Significance:
The account of Moses tending Jethro’s flock is a pivotal moment in biblical history, marking the transition from Moses’ life in obscurity to his divine calling as the leader of the Israelites. This period of shepherding serves as a time of preparation and humility for Moses, who would later shepherd God’s people out of Egypt.
