Evangelist/Pastor Barbara
When I was in prayer and asked God for the Word for the day, He said: “THESE ARE THE DAYS OF ELIJAH.”
These are the days of Elijah, which means God’s Judgment has come upon us.
The “days of Elijah” refers to—God stepping in and sending His fire.
Just as Elijah warned of the coming judgment in ancient Israel, today we need to be aware of the coming judgment…
Malachi 4: 1 “‘For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘that will leave them neither root nor branch.’”
The Lord is saying, ‘I left it up to My kings and priests to take care of the evil in the nations, but the evil was bigger than they knew. It has overcome too many. I will step in and remove it with my holy fire.’
There are two things that happen regarding judgment…
Evil is burned up, consumed by the holy fire of God.
The righteous are built up and strengthened.
The good news about the days of Elijah is that God is “fattening” us up, strengthening us, and releasing authority to those of us who will not compromise.
During the days of Elijah, which is judgment, God is restoring instruction, love, and respect—from fathers to children and children to fathers.
Malachi 4: 5 – 6 (ETRV) “Look, I will send Elijah the prophet to you. He will come before that great and terrible time of judgment from the LORD.
6 Elijah will help the parents become close to their children, and he will help the children become close to their parents. This must happen, or I will come and completely destroy your country.”
Those who stand in their covenant relationship with Him will be restored.
Malachi 4: 2 – 4 (ETRV) “But, for my followers, goodness will shine on you like the rising sun. And it will bring healing power like the sun’s rays. You will be free and happy, like calves freed from their stalls. 3 Then you will walk on the evil people-they will be like ashes under your feet. I will make this happen at the time of judgment.” This is what the LORD All-Powerful said. 4 “Remember and obey the law of my servant Moses. I gave those laws and rules to him at Mount Horeb.♦ They are for all the people of Israel.
