                                 Anti-Human Trafficking Meeting
Stevensville Aglow Lighthouse will be hosting an Anti-Human Trafficking Meeting Saturday January 20, 2024, between 1-3:00 p.m. at the Kent Island Library 200 Library Circle, Stevensville, Maryland 21666 Room 128.

Ed Thomas, Aglow International’s Mid-Atlantic Region’s Anti-Human Trafficking Coordinator, will be co-hosting. Susan Ahlstrom, Human Trafficking Regional Navigator, For All Seasons, Inc., and Detective Jason Rickard, Queen Anne’s Sheriff’s Office will be sharing about their activities and experiences.

Jessica Emerson, Director and Kari Lee, Senior Staff Attorney, Human Trafficking Prevention Project, University of Baltimore will discuss the Prevention Project focusing on the need for criminal record relief and other civil legal needs for human trafficking survivors.

We have also invited Senator Steve Hershey and Delegate Steve Arentz (District 36) to update us regarding Maryland Legislation from 2023 and 2024 proposed legislation.

We have invited a wide variety of persons, including educators, pastors, community groups, service clubs, local press, businesses, elected officials, law enforcement, local government representatives, and the general public, to increase community awareness of this modern-day slavery.

There will be a time for questions and discussion.
