Do Not Neglect Your Salvation

Into every life, a little rain must fall. This is common knowledge. So why is it that when the rain starts falling, and it looks like a torrential rain that will never end, My people lose their salvation?

Time after time, I have warned My people that they will suffer for My namesake.

Matthew 5:  10 – 12 (NIV2011) Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.  Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

1 Peter 4:  12 – 19 (NIV2011) Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.  If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.  If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Children, you must return to your first love. You must, at all cost, work out your salvation. The enemy will continue to jerk your chain until your time on this earth is finished. He is not concerned about how he does this; he just wants to finish it once and for all. Philippians 2:  12

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

My word tells you not to neglect your salvation. It gives you explicit instructions on how to keep your salvation. If you would only trust My word, it will guide and direct your footsteps daily. It will give you wisdom beyond your years; you will know without a shadow of a doubt that you only hear My voice, and no other voice will you follow.  John 10:  4 – 5 (NIV2011) When he has brought out all His own, He goes on ahead of them, and His sheep follow Him because they know His voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

Warning: Don’t Neglect Salvation     Hebrews 2:1-4 We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
