Jamie Reed thought she was saving kids when she went to work for one of the nation’s top “gender clinics.” Now Jamie is blowing the whistle on the entire industry trying to castrate and sterilize children.

Liberty Counsel is fighting the gender-benders pushing trans ideology on our kids. Children around the country are currently BANNED from seeking and receiving counseling for gender dysphoria and unwanted same-sex desires. You can help us fight for these precious children and families.  — Mat

Hello,

“What’s happening to children is morally and medically appalling,” says Jamie Reed. She should know. Jamie spent more than four years as a caseworker at Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Jamie describes herself as “queer” with political leanings “left of Bernie Sanders.” Yet despite being married to a “trans-man” (a woman who identifies as a man), Jamie is now horrified at what the gender-bending propaganda is doing to our children — and she is fighting to stop it.

“Almost everyone in my life advised me to keep my head down. But I cannot in good conscience do so,” says Jamie, because what is happening to children is “morally and medically appalling.”

Jamie now says that “the way the American medical system is treating these patients is the opposite of the promise we make to ‘do no harm.’ Instead, we are permanently harming the vulnerable patients in our care.”

Jamie spent years in the medical field before joining WU’s gender clinic. She was surprised by the near complete lack of formal protocol for treating children. The clinic’s physician co-directors were the sole authority and the ones who established a self-dealing routine to ensure patients kept coming.

To receive “transition” treatment, patients needed a letter from a therapist. The clinic gave form letters to hand-picked therapists. The children only had to visit the therapist once or twice to get puberty blockers and hormones.

The clinic tried to keep parents in the dark about the life-altering decisions.

Within just two or three visits, children would be on their way to being chemically sterilized — with drugs that have serious side effects.

Repeatedly, patients coming to the clinic had serious mental health conditions that the clinic ignored.

These kids had depression, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders and obesity. Many were previously diagnosed with autism or had autism-like symptoms. This is significant, as a 2022 British publication notes that one-third of “transition” seekers had autism.

Worse yet, Jamie’s patients often declared they had disorders that no one, including the doctors themselves, believed the children had, like Tourette’s, tic disorders and multiple personalities. The doctors themselves “privately recognized these false self-diagnoses as a manifestation of social contagion.”

“Social contagion,” according to Oxford Reference, is defined as the spread of ideas, attitudes, or behavior patterns in a group through imitation and conformity. It is also called behavioral contagion.  In fact, a recent article in Psychology Today agrees with this definition, and notes that social contagion often leads to spates of aggressive or self-injurious behaviors.

Then she noticed groups of girls arriving at the same time from the same school. The doctors dismissed her concerns.

The kids had little understanding of what they were doing to their bodies. And the parents were kept in the dark. Jamie’s heart wept for the children who came back, sometimes within just months of surgery, desperately wanting their bodies back.

Jamie was told in no unequivocable terms “get on board or get out.”

Jamie finally left the clinic, but she is not going silently. This gender “queer,” married-to-a-trans-man, far left radical contacted the State of Missouri’s REPUBLICAN Governor and Attorney General for help in BANNING these surgeries and cross-sex hormone treatments for children. Jamie understands the LGBTQ+ community to which she belongs will likely shun her. But the future of these children is far too important for her to stay silent.

“Some critics describe the kind of treatment offered at places like the Transgender Center where I worked as a kind of national experiment,” Jamie says. “But that’s wrong. Experiments are supposed to be carefully designed. Hypotheses are supposed to be tested ethically. The doctors I worked alongside at the Transgender Center said frequently about the treatment of our patients: ‘We are building a plane while we are flying it.’ But ‘no one should be a passenger on that kind of aircraft.'”

Liberty Counsel is fighting for our children.

Liberty Counsel just WON a major victory for children and families at the Court of Appeals. In our Vazzo v. City of Tampa case, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the Tampa ordinance that prohibited licensed counselors from providing voluntary Bible-based counseling for gender dysphoria and unwanted same-sex attractions was unconstitutional.

And last week, we obtained a judgment against the City of Boca Raton, FL, because of our win in Otto, et al. v. City of Boca Raton, FL, et al. The city will now be forced to pay monetary damages, attorney’s fees and costs.

This week, we will continue our case against Palm Beach County, and we are filing a new challenge in other states.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to rescue these children from a lifetime of pain and regret!
