My children, today I want you to examine your roots, what types of seeds are you allowing to be planted inside of you, and how deep are you allowing them to get. I really want you to sit in My presence and allow the Holy Spirit to direct and guide you through this process.
I want you to look at the things that you watch, read, listen to, and who you are around every day. I want you to really dig in deep on how much of Me are you really planting in your life and are you really letting it grow deep and strong roots inside of you? Or are you only allowing them to grow so far and when a storm hits, they become uprooted and blown away?
I really want you to look at this My children because there is so many storms that are coming to you. If your roots are not firmly planted deep inside of you then the storms are going to uproot you from Me. These storms will blow you off course.
This is why it is so important to hide My word inside of you and store it for safe keeping. This is why you need to be feeding on it daily and watering your soul and spirit with more of Me and being in My presence so that the food and water of Me will produce these deep, thick planted roots that will remain strong through everything that comes you way. You will not be able to be blown off course but to be able to withstand the storms, test, and trials and help others along the way.
If all you are allowing yourself to be seed by is the world and the things of the world then it is through these things that will grow roots and will suffocate the roots of Me that have been growing. If you are only spending time with the things of the world then it is the world that is watering these roots and the roots of Me will die off because the world is deadly to the things of Me. If you are only surrounding yourself with negative things then it is negative roots that you will produce and with a result of negative will blossom from you.
But if you surround yourself with the positivity of My spirit and the truths of My word, easy or hard, your roots will become stronger and stronger in Me. If you water yourself with singing My praises and sitting in My presence and feeding the roots with teaching of Me and My word your roots will become deeper and firmly planted. This will result in producing good and productive fruits that can be used in My kingdom. This will result in having roots that will not be uprooted at every storm that hits you and come blowing and raging your way.
So today get into My presence and invite the Holy Spirit to come in and really show you what kind of roots are inside of you and what type of fruit you are about to produce. Open your eyes and hears fully to all that I have to show you and all that My Holy Spirit brings to your attention. Surrender yourself totally and competely so that you can be ready to receive the truth.
As things are revealed to you, then allow the roots of the world and of the flesh and all things that are not of Me be ripped up out of you. Let the roots be completely taken and removed, along with every bad seed that they have produced. Allow Me to toil you soil and to replace these roots with seeds of Me and then continue to water and feed them daily.
Decide to be a carrier of roots only of Me and watch the changes happen in your life and in those around you. You will be able to see differently and to be able to be closer to Me because you will no longer carry poison roots of the world.
Inspect your roots inside of you today. Inspect what things you have been allowed to be planted inside of you, how deep you allow them to get, and what you are watering and feeding them. Then allow My Holy Spirit to direct and guide you where you are to be at this time and place according to My plans for you.
Then make a commitment to Me to strengthen your roots each and every day in Me and in My word. Make a a commitment to begin to really praise Me from the deeps of your heart and bring the refreshing waters to water the roots and plants inside of you so that you produce spiritual fruits that will further My kingdom. It all begins with inspecting your roots today and being willing to allow the weeding out to begin.
Matthew 13:3-6 (NIV)
3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
Matthew 13:18-21 (NIV)
18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
Isaiah 11:1-5 (NIV)
11 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;
4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness will be his belt
and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
Job 8:11-19 (NIV)
11 Can papyrus grow tall where there is no marsh?
Can reeds thrive without water?
12 While still growing and uncut,
they wither more quickly than grass.
13 Such is the destiny of all who forget God;
so perishes the hope of the godless.
14 What they trust in is fragile;
what they rely on is a spider’s web.
15 They lean on the web, but it gives way;
they cling to it, but it does not hold.
16 They are like a well-watered plant in the sunshine,
spreading its shoots over the garden;
17 it entwines its roots around a pile of rocks
and looks for a place among the stones.
18 But when it is torn from its spot,
that place disowns it and says, ‘I never saw you.’
19 Surely its life withers away,
and from the soil other plants grow.
Psalm 1:3 (NIV)
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
Isaiah 5:22-24 (NIV)
22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine
and champions at mixing drinks,
23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
but deny justice to the innocent.
24 Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw
and as dry grass sinks down in the flames,
so their roots will decay
and their flowers blow away like dust;
for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty
and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NIV)
7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
8 They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
Ezekiel 17:1-10 (NIV)
17 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, set forth an allegory and tell it to the Israelites as a parable. 3 Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: A great eagle with powerful wings, long feathers and full plumage of varied colors came to Lebanon. Taking hold of the top of a cedar, 4 he broke off its topmost shoot and carried it away to a land of merchants, where he planted it in a city of traders.
5 “‘He took one of the seedlings of the land and put it in fertile soil. He planted it like a willow by abundant water, 6 and it sprouted and became a low, spreading vine. Its branches turned toward him, but its roots remained under it. So it became a vine and produced branches and put out leafy boughs.
7 “‘But there was another great eagle with powerful wings and full plumage. The vine now sent out its roots toward him from the plot where it was planted and stretched out its branches to him for water. 8 It had been planted in good soil by abundant water so that it would produce branches, bear fruit and become a splendid vine.’
9 “Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Will it thrive? Will it not be uprooted and stripped of its fruit so that it withers? All its new growth will wither. It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it up by the roots. 10 It has been planted, but will it thrive? Will it not wither completely when the east wind strikes it—wither away in the plot where it grew?’”
Matthew 3:7-12
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. 9 And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 10 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
11 “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
