Sometimes we read The Bible and worship Him, while at other times, all He wants us to do is sit at His feet and allow Him to talk to us, heal us, and to pour Himself out on us. Learn how to truly know God and enjoy Him. Out Of Religion Into A Personal Walk With God is about the struggle of overcoming religion and entering into a relationship so deep and personal that it began before we were even conceived.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
Treating One Another With Love
This teaching highlights God’s emphasis on love belong the greatest spiritual gift. Prophecies when they come to pass will end, Tongues can be stilled, Words of knowledge will also come to past, but love never fails. Love is patient, does not keep record of wrong, does not boast and is not envious. So we should reflect in our daily lives and in our relationship with people to ensure that in whatever we do must be done out of love. Our communication should be done in love as well as other actions as the scriptures says in Romans 13 vs. 10 “Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law”.
Breaking Satan’s Assignments (Part Two)
This is a continuation of the first part. Just as God has a plan for a Christian’s life, the enemy also has his own agenda for such a Christian. We do not need to watch Satan achieve his purpose in our life. A holy living in one of the key areas a Christian can use to counter easy access from satanic kingdom into a believer’s life. Also, an individual areas of vulnerability should be noted and efforts to close up these areas by the help of the Holy Spirit is required to be able to resist the devil. Continuous Christian development and maturity is also required to be able to resist the enemy.
Breaking Satan’s Assignments (Part One)
Breaking Satan’s assignment over our life is a teaching highlighting the importance of a believer not being passive and watch the enemy steal, kill and destroy God’s purpose in one’s life. Being discipline, self-control and being prayerful were among the factors discussed that can help the Christian resist the enemy’s attack upon their lives. Our daily life should be examined to note the activities that take up our prayer time leaving us with little or no prayer time at all.
Spiritual Warfare is a teaching on how to battle the enemy in other to recover our inheritance in Christ. The enemy will battle for your soul, if he did not succeed in getting you on his side, he will come after your finances, health, children and all aspects of your comfort zone. God gave us the tool to defeat him at all sides, that is found in Eph.6:11-17. The scriptures listed the tools we will need in battling the enemy. And also, Jesus Christ said “Be of good cheer for I have overcome the world”.
Knowing Who We Are In Christ Part One
This is reminding us of who we are in Christ. It is a reminder of our identity in Christ, when we are not very conscious of who we are in Christ, the enemy can take advantage of us. These are some of our identities in Christ according to scriptures; “Dear children you are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
The knowledge and awareness that I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ to do good works, that he has prepared for me to do. And the knowledge that I have authority over snakes and scorpions.
Attitudes That Keep Us In Tune To God’s Spirit
This teaching is about certain behaviors and attitudes that will allow The Spirit of God to move freely in us. These behaviors will enhance a better walk with God, we will not be hindering ourselves when we imbibe some of these attitudes. They are:
(i) Having a right and pure heart towards God
(ii) Be a learner; we must continuously learn at the feet of The Master
(iii) Forgive easily, don’t hold on to offenses
Choosing To Trust God
Trusting God is a choice, God has presented Himself to us and has let us know the benefits of trusting and believing in Him, He then allowed us to decide what to do. You can choose to trust God amidst seemingly difficult situations, or you can decide to fret. You can decide to be spiritually smart to leave all the issues of your life to God to handle which shows trust.
Living For The Father
This topic will focus on a life that is completely sold out to God. Someone living with the knowledge that he/she does not belong to himself. There is a purpose why I am created, God will tell me what that purpose is and I will live to please him. In Jeremiah 1:5 God told him, ”Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” It might not be convenient for us, but if we choose to live this way, God has lots of rewards for us.
While Waiting, Do Something
One of our common phrases is ‘just hang in there’. This means don’t give up, but just remain there especially when situations seem tough. But if we hang in there without further actions, the desired result may continue to delay or may never come. While waiting, believers ought to do more. For example, if you have prayed and fasted for one day maximum, try and add more days to your fasting. If you have prayed once every day, try to increase the number of times you pray as well as the quality of your prayer.
Run Towards The Mark
We should live our life understanding that we are actually in a race. Which means there is a price to be won if we make it to the final round. In the secular world, when one is involve in a track race, even if the person falls down, he can’t remain on the ground, he will stand up, brush of the sand from his feet and will continue. In God’s kingdom, we should do likewise. Any round you lose to the devil, let it go, ask for forgiveness and forge ahead to the final round (Philippians 3:14).
Endeavor To Be Different
This topic will focus on a life that is completely sold out to God. Someone living with the knowledge that he/she does not belong to himself. There is a purpose why I am created, God will tell me what that purpose is and I will live to please Him. In Jeremiah 1:5, God told him, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” It might not be convenient for us, but if we choose to live this way, God has lots of rewards for us.
Intimacy With The Father
This discussion will focus on our daily walk with The Father. We will serve God with the knowledge and awareness of His Presence with us 24 hours of the day. We will serve Him not according to the traditions of men, rather seeking Him, presenting our choices and actions to Him possibly before even taking certain actions. In Proverb 3:5, The Bible says “Trust in The Lord with all our heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”. We don’t need to make mistakes first before calling on Him, we can get it right the first time if we involve him in our daily choices.
