THE LAST REFORMATION – The Church Jesus Comes to Get
“2 Corinthians 6:  14 – 18. Don’t be unequally yoked. We all know this applies to marriage, but it applies to spiritual connections as well. Wherever covenants are formed spirit-to-spirit, we don’t want to be in covenant with a wrong spirit. It has to be a spirit-breathed covenant relationship.
Today – I heard in my Spirit – that what God is cleaning up, preparing, finishing, re-setting, is for the Church – to be His Army – His Ambassadors, in the “Last Reformation”. Knit and joined by Him.
Not only in marriage – but in doctrines, Church affiliations, prayer movements, everywhere we connect to the Body, the Church. The Last Reformers in this last hours of Church history can’t have a little leaven, unbroken and un-yielded flesh, or an unhealed emotional life operating. We need to live from Father God’s breath.
When Jesus stood up in the synagogue that day to read the prescribed portion of scripture, the temple scribes, priests and pharisees were familiar with the Isaiah 61 verses that Yeshua, the carpenter’s son, read from. But what began the cycle of hubris (jealousy, pride) in motion, was what Jesus said [Luke 4:  17 – 21]: “This day this has been fulfilled in your midst”. v.17. Oh vey! They were verklempt! He said what! Who does He think He is?
God the Father had to send [one born under the law – no short cuts], one who perfectly kept all the Levitical laws and feasts], to be the one – the only one – who could establish ‘grace’- the better covenant. Hebrews 8:  6 – 13
Seems every 500 years or so in Church history- Holy Spirit births a new mystery, another revelation of the Lord Jesus. God used Martin Luther to reveal the works-based-religious-system of the day. It was lacking in the true understanding of the ‘just living by faith’. I believe the Lord is showing us today, we have not fully tapped into the weight of His glory, about to be revealed. We too will live by faith alone.
I was picturing the courageous and bold Apostles we read about on their missionary journeys. They didn’t start out that way. They were like you and me, they didn’t always understand the mission. They got frustrated. They got tired. They wondered how long their ‘deep state of discontent’ would last. Surely – all this mess in the world will be over soon. They believed in Jesus – but probably thought more than once, this is getting just too hard. It’s easier just to go back to fishing.

The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, says Proverbs 9:  10. The Body of Christ is in critical need of this truth. On Sabbath services, when I light the Shabbat candle and light the menorah (which represents the 7 spirits of God), and read from Isaiah 11, vs.1 – 2. ‘The Spirit of the Lord and the Fear of God always will rest upon Him’… it always stirs something in me.
Perhaps, as we mature in our faith, we come to realize just how Holy and awesome He really is. As intimate as He wants to be with us, and He does- I never want to lose that sense of who He is. Over-familiarity with a blazing fire can scorch and kill. God is a living fire. He is so holy – the angels have to cover their eyes with wings – at the Throne – because of the fire of His glory and they’re in heaven!
The Word tells us no one can see His face (in our flesh) and live. Where there is no true fear of the Lord reigning – all uncleanness, every evil work can have dominion. Psalm 19: 9 shows us the fear of the Lord is clean. Unless the true fear of the Lord is present, we won’t really look that much different in these garments of flesh – than the one hanging in the garden closet– the one from Adam’s garment line.

You now have a coat of many colors. All the colors of His rainbow – all of His promises. Don’t exchange that for this life. Your soul cost His life.

The Church the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back to collect – the ones who will rule and reign with Him, in His Kingdom, will all have passed ‘the fear of God’ test. The testing’s and trials of their faith, made them overcomers. Despite the world, the flesh (usually our own), and the devil’s plan to wipe us out – Jesus brought us through. Victory.
The redeemed, the cleaned, the transformed, the transparent, the broken, have been healed by His love and glory. We are now the cleaned fish, to be used, in the haul-in for the final harvest. The scales of unrighteousness and impurity were taken off our eyes. Like the first century church – we didn’t know if we’d survive. But here we are.
The Great Commission has not yet been fully realized globally (but it soon will…). We have to be willing to “Go and Tell”.  When I was in kindergarten – they had ‘show and tell’, show your toy and tell about it. Well – Holy Spirit has a ‘show n’ tell’ of His own coming – we may hardly believe our eyes at what (good) is coming in THIS LAST REFORMATION – Book of Acts generation. The harvest of souls.
These Last Reformers have tasted the best reward – the love and pleasure of a once crucified, now glorious Lord. Signs, wonders and miracles are dropping into the earth- even now. It’s Joel 2 meets Acts 2 time. Malach 4:  2 reminds us that ‘the Son of Righteousness has arisen with healing in His wings’.
When the disciples heard and saw Jesus – as He was being air-lifted into the heavens, after the Resurrection- they never forgot what they saw her heard. Let us follow their foot path.
Matthew 28: 19 – 20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Jesus gave this command before He ascended into heaven.
