ADJUSTMENT: Today, we are going to work on adjusting the following:

2} The Love Walk

The Bible teaches us to love one another as we love ourselves. In fact, it is one of the most important commandments in the Bible. To adjust your love walk with people according to the Bible, you can follow these steps:

Forgive:  Forgiveness is an essential aspect of the love walk. Holding onto bitterness and grudges can make it difficult to walk in love towards others. Decide to forgive anyone whom you haven’t yet, and determine to instantly forgive those who cause you harm in the future 1.

Hold your tongue: Love isn’t rude or critical. It doesn’t need to tell everyone what it thinks all the time. Refuse to criticize anyone or gossip. Let your words be edifying only.

Believe the best: Love believes the best about others. Begin today to believe the best about others, and watch as your love grows.

Do not get offended: When someone cuts you off in traffic or speaks rudely to you, decide not to get offended.

The following Bible verses can also help you understand how to walk in love:

Ephesians 5:  2: “And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

2 John 1:  6: “And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.”

John 13:  34: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Colossians 3:  14: “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
