Activists throughout Delaware’s government have steadily and consistently acted on a worldview that undermines the Family as a bedrock of stability for society.

In our 13 years of serving Delaware, we’ve heard and seen this worldview on display firsthand in how legislators argue and justify their positions.

Elections have consequences. That’s a fact. However, those who run regulatory agencies within the government are able to exert the most control over our lives through regulations.

Follow the most recent trajectory:

  1. HB 261, introduced on the last day of session in June, would allow dependents (typically minors) to get “sensitive health care services” without the policyholder — usually parents — being notified. Delaware Code already allows minors to consent to treatments without parents; this bill specifically allows dependents between ages 18-26 to give that consent without it being reported to the policyholder.
  2. HB 129 requires health care centers in “high-need” public elementary schools. They’re already required in government run Delaware high schools. This bill would allow students in elementary schools to access health care services — including ‘reproductive services’ — without parental knowledge.
  3. But get this: SR 22 — a simple statement recognizing parents’ right to voice their opinions in School Board meetings– WAS VOTED DOWN. DENIED.
SR 22 simply acknowledged that parents have the “right to peacefully express their opinions.” The resolution did nothing to condone “violence, threats of violence, harassment, and intimidation.” It actually condemned it!

This resolution that affirmed parents was immediately defeated by the majority Party. Not one Democrat legislator thought parents should have the right to express their opinions to the school board. NOT ONE!

The message is clear –The goal is to strengthen the government’s interests so that it can remain in power. Parents are in the way of their agenda. Bypassing you as the parent gives them access to your children, so that your children can be indoctrinated and allowed to make decisions without your knowledge or consent. They do not want you involved!
Our team will monitor, analyze, and respond to the attacks, and try to reach as many people as possible in Delaware.

Right now, we know what’s coming as early as January, and it will be our fiercest battle yet.

If you agree that parents have the God-given right to the “care, custody, and control” of their children without government interference, support the work of DFPC today!
