Deep Rooted Spirit Removed from Spine Uncharted Territory of a Wounded Soul

Greetings Lighthouse members,

What an amazing night here at the Lighthouse! God is never in short supply of awe and wonder. A dear sister in Christ was fighting an intense battle in the mind and had done everything she knew to do with waging spiritual warfare. In the end, she knew she couldn’t fight this battle alone and reached out for help. Our Pastor heard the Word of the Lord concerning what spirit was responsible for this torment. She heard the word “Nostalgia”.

Our sister in Christ came to us and we worked on her that night – calling out this spirit of nostalgia. As we commanded this spirit to surface – her face became twisted and bitter (a clear mark of the spirit having manifested) and this spirit revealed it’s strategy was to cause her mass confusion and pull her backward into old, comfortable, familiar territory.

Amazing! With all the new and beautiful things God is doing – with all the shifting and changing in the spirit realm and even the natural realm, this spirit had been loosed to severely oppress her to go backward and pull her out of the will of God. But God in His grace has prevailed… we attacked and violently commanded this spirit to be loosed and depart from her! We broke all it’s assignments in Jesus’ name.

Saints, we must not be afraid to get violent (in righteous anger) against these spirits. We must be forceful with the kingdom of darkness and assert our authority in Christ against these evil spirits. They are trespassers, vile beings of darkness that enjoy tormenting men, women and children. They love to oppress and afflict the weak and abused, and God has equipped us to deal with them with His word and all that Jesus has done.

“From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize].” (Matthew 11:12, AMP)

I believe this Scripture is also referring to our zeal and determination to see others set free, to reclaim God’s Kingdom in His precious people by violently seizing the kingdom of darkness and destroying it (through Christ) and establishing God’s Holy Kingdom here on earth!

We cannot be lazy and passive with demons – exorcism is violent and aggressive (through the Holy Spirit). Our sister in Christ experienced a great level of freedom as this spirit was drawn up completely out of her spine. I took the cross of Christ and placed it on her back and began to judge this evil spirit for it’s vileness and commanded it to receive the uttermost judgment of God. This evil spirit shouted, “Eat [expletive] and DIE!” before it was ejected into the pit by the Holy Angels of God.

Many different spirits of underlying fear were present, including a fear of accountability! God also showed us that part of her spirit was held in “spiritual detention”. God did not desire for her to be in this captivity – but at some point the enemy convinced her to walk into this terrible place and stifle her spiritually. God removed this piece and liberated her into total freedom in the Spirit.

We sometimes need help to discern whether or not we are harboring something inside of us. I can tell you from personal experience, there have been many times I was surprised to learn what was truly lurking inside the depths of my own heart. Our sister in Christ had discovered that as God probed deep, there was a small portion of her heart that did not understand what God was doing (but wanted to) and couldn’t seem to let go of the situation. It had caused a small root of anger towards God (unbeknown to her). God touched the root of this situation and tears began to pour out as that pain surfaced and God removed those offended heart parts and gave her comfort and restored her to wholeness once again.

Then, the spirits of fear, anger and unforgiveness were commanded to come out of her – and they did. Once the demons are exposed and the pain and traumas they hide behind are dealt with, they have no place to hide. This time the demons tongues were held shut and all their cursing and blasphemous remarks were sealed up and they were commanded to go into the pit in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

Our beloved sister no longer has confusion, voices of condemnation and defeat, and all the sickness that plagued her with fatigue and irritability has totally departed from her. This is truly a miracle from God. Anything God does is a miracle – and my prayer and hope is that we will all take time to see God’s precious miracles throughout each day and let us never become accustomed to His blessed gifts but in all things be thankful.

Thought provoker: What if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday? Selah.
Blessings in Christ,
